Success Stories

Danville Parking Study Danville, VA

The purpose of this study was to evaluate supply and demand for public and private parking facilities in downtown Danville. The majority of occupancy and turnover data was collected with aerial orthomosaics captured from fixed-wing aircraft. A small portion of occluded areas, including parking garages, were captured using dash camera footage.

Baptist Hospital Study Winston-Salem, NC

QC was tasked with collecting the occupancy data of 24 parking lots and garages for Baptist Hospital. The study was performed at ground-level using three teams to traverse each lot and garage and manually tabulate the number of parked vehicles or vacant spaces. Our team also collected inventory data for each lot.

On-Call Parking Studies Columbus, OH

The City of Columbus selected QC to serve as their on-call parking study data collection firm. QC’s parking studies for the City include parking inventory, occupancy data for off-peak days/hours, special events and peak collection times. In addition to the parking studies, QC also collects the City’s regulatory sign inventory using GPS photographs from dashcams.

Drone Parking Study Bend, OR

This on-call project allowed QC to exhibit creative and expert collection solutions towards a dynamic and expansive parking utilization effort for the City of Bend. Spanning 28 locations across a dense, urban greenspace, drones collected detailed footage of multiple utilization classes over the course of a week.

Sandpoint Parking Study Sandpoint, ID

QC conducted a large-scale turnover study throughout the downtown and public beach area of Sandpoint. QC drove a predetermined route throughout the study area and captured license plate data using dash cameras. The resulting footage was processed using automated software to produce turnover per parking stall throughout the study area.


Old Town Parking Study Alexandria, VA

QC worked with the City of Alexandria to assess parking demand for the purpose of planning the location and size of new parking structures. QC completed this project by performing intercept surveys of persons entering and exiting buildings. We also captured dash camera footage of license plates to assess parking occupancy patterns throughout the study area.
