Quality Counts (QC) has been the engineering and planning industries’ go-to partner for transportation data collection projects since 2003. From our humble beginnings in Portland, OR, QC has evolved with the deliberate intent to improve transportation data collection, processing, and reporting practices for countless private firms and public agencies.
We recognize that the data landscape is constantly evolving. However, we have come to find that despite advancements in technologies and methods, our industry still relies heavily on ground-truth count data for design, forecasting, and a variety of impactful engineering and planning projects. Our team realized we needed to put this message front and center: ground-truth data is critical to improve mobility in our communities.
Besides rebranding under the simplified “QC” banner and logo, our team is proud to unveil our new website and a fresh, cohesive suite of products that make our vision a reality:
- QC Hub is our project management platform for transportation data collection efforts. From estimate creation through video delivery, QC Hub is an easily accessible, central repository for all things relating to your firm’s or agency’s projects.
- DataLens is our AI-driven product for analyzing traffic video and producing high-resolution turning movement count data. This tool accurately tabulates and classifies vehicles by approach for intersections, mid-blocks, and high-speed facilities using a machine vision model that is constantly learning to further improve data reliability.
- DataPoint is used to organize and present data to stakeholders and the public through an intuitive user interface. Take a deep dive into any one dataset, view trends, or generate intersection design scenarios with fewer clicks compared to outdated traffic count management platforms.
This product suite may now be utilized by any of QC’s engineering and planning partners. Whether you wish to simply manage your data collection projects in one place, process video you’ve collected in-house, or deliver your data in a unique GIS platform to an agency or to the public, QC is here to support you on your professional journey.
“Our team has made tremendous strides over the last several years, and we’re thrilled to release useful applications to the industry,” said Jean-Paul Brissett, CEO.
